Dave has done renovations for us in the last year and we are very pleased with his work. Charlie and I live in an historic home on 9^th Street in Lafayette and it needs constant attention. It is difficult to find a contractor with the skills to maintain it when nothing is square and many jobs require custom parts.

His knowledge of carpentry, electrical work and his attention to detail are of the first quality. He is exacting, professional and affordable.

Dave’s most recent work here was to replace rotting lattice under our front porch. After surveying the job and noting that the placement of downspouts probably had created the problem, he recommended a lattice of man-made material that matched the original lattice in the front. It is virtually indestructible and will last for years. While the lattice was off Dave noted that the brick foundation, under the porch was in need of tuck-pointing and gave us the name of a reliable and economical mason.

Dave will complete jobs large and small. He has installed doorknobs, fixed flashing, tightened handles and completed projects for us that required some imagination.

I would only be reluctant to recommend Dave because he might get too busy to tend to Charlie and me. He is a jewel and I would seriously suggest that you consider giving him a call for historic restorations as well as new renovations.
